Mission
“Working to support those who are affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, also known as Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy or Peroneal Muscular Atrophy”
Aims and Objectives
To offer assistance and support to those people who have Charcot-Marie- Tooth Disease, also known as Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy or Peroneal Muscular Atrophy.
To promote research into the means by which CMT may be prevented and treated and to circulate the results of such research for the benefit of the public.
In addition, CMT United Kingdom aims:
To raise funds by means of subscriptions, donations, and grants.
To collect and circulate information on all matters with regards to CMT.
To initiate, co-ordinate, promote and support the carrying out of research.
To stimulate medical education on the subject of CMT.
To offer assistance and support to those who care for people who have CMT.
To spread awareness of the condition to the general public.
