We have been astounded at the variety of imaginative ways our friends have found to raise funds for CMT United Kingdom; we are grateful to each and every one and plan to update this section with details very soon now.

Above all, THANK you for the effort and time that you put into your fundraising efforts.  Without your fundraising, we can't continue to exist.  

We all have a dream for the future of CMT United Kingdom - perhaps it'll be funding a cure or treatment; perhaps in funding better treatment NOW, whilst that elusive cure is found; perhaps it's funding care advisers to help with day to day living problems - whatever those dreams are, they need funds.

 

To give you an idea of the costs we incur, year in, year out - 

Each information pack that we send costs approximately £5.00 to produce and post

Every day that there is someone in the office, it costs around £65 in rent and salaries, (not to mention all the overheads, like electricity/telephone/rates etc)

Every mailing of ComMenT costs £750 just in postage, and £1700 to design and print (and we do that three times per year)

Every young adult attending the Young People's Weekend costs approximately £400 each.

Every Conference costs a minimum of £10,000 (and usually a lot more, although some of that is offset by what people pay to attend)

 

And things that we can't yet pay for -

Your average Clinical Trial in the UK costs £250,000 at the very least....
