Ways to help

With the help of our members and supports, we can sustain our services which include up-to-date medical information and providing the best up-to-date practical advice.  We can also contribute towards research into finding an answer to the enigma of CMT.

We need all kinds of help:

People to become members.

People willing to give time – the organisation is run mainly by volunteers – we have one paid part time member of staff.

People to speak out for us.

People ready to organise things.

We also need funds, of course, to do the work. We get nothing from state resources – it all comes from our members and supporters.

There are many different ways to help: organising events, donating through a Give As You Earn scheme, making a straight donation, recycling, giving through regular payments, pledging a legacy, nominating CMT United Kingdom as a company's Charity of the Year or doing a sponsored event.

We also need help to publicise CMT United Kingdom and its work – you can find further information about our awareness campaigns here too.  It would be great if we could make Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease a household name, like many other,  rarer, disabling conditions.
