It can be complicated to apply for these benefits, call the office up to date guides that can be emailed to you.

Employment and Support Allowance

This allowance is replacing Incapacity Benefit, but is a complex benefit.  Please read the “Understanding ESA” leaflet before proceeding with your claim.

Personal Independence Payments

This benefit has now replaced Disabled Living Allowance, and people who were on indefinite awards of DLA are still being transferred across to PIP.  New Applications can take months to process, with appeals even longer.

Disability Living Allowance – children up to 16 only

DLA is still in force for children up to 16 and those claimants that have not been transferred onto PIP.
