As CMT Awareness Month 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you.
To everyone who shared a post, told their story, joined a conversation, organised a fundraiser, or simply took the time to learn more about Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) – your support has meant the world.
This year’s theme, More Than You Can See, reminded us how powerful it can be when the CMT community comes together. Each story shared and conversation started helped shine a light on the realities of living with CMT… the challenges, the resilience, and the everyday strength that often go unseen.
Thanks to you, more people now understand what CMT is, how it affects lives, and why awareness truly matters. You’ve helped make sure that no one living with CMT feels alone – and that’s something worth celebrating.
Awareness Shouldn’t Stop Here
Although Awareness Month is ending, our work (and yours!) continues all year round. Every chat with a friend, every shared post, and every story told helps build understanding and empathy.
At CMTUK, we’ll keep doing everything we can to support our members, fund research, and raise awareness across the UK. But we can’t do it without you. Your continued involvement -whether through donations, membership, or simply spreading the word – keeps our mission alive long after October ends.
Why Your Support Matters
CMTUK is entirely funded by donations. We don’t receive government funding, which means everything we do, from running our helpline and community groups to supporting research and creating resources, depends on the generosity of people like you.
