CMT Kids Family Day Trip to the Magna Science Adventure Centre
This summer, we are getting the CMT family together for a proper day out. On Saturday 6th June 2026, we are heading to the Magna Science Adventure Centre and we want you there!
It’s the perfect opportunity for children, young adults, and families living with CMT to get together, have some fun, explore, and spend time with people who truly understand.
Big kids, grandparents, siblings… everyone is welcome!
What is Magna?
Magna Science Adventure Centre is one of those places that genuinely has something for everyone. Set inside a vast former steelworks in Rotherham, it is hands-on, immersive and seriously impressive. There are four pavilions exploring Air, Earth, Fire and Water, an outdoor adventure playground, and a splash park for the summer. It is the kind of place where kids (big and small) could easily spend a whole day and still want more.
Why these days matter so much
Ask any family living with CMT and they will tell you how much it means to spend time with others on the same path. Children get to meet kids who genuinely understand what their life is like. Parents get to talk to someone who truly knows. And everyone gets a brilliant day out where CMT is in the background, not the focus.
That kind of connection is hard to find. We think it is worth travelling for.
Come and meet our trustees
Our CMT Kids trustees Vicky, Sophie and Sam will all be joining us on the day, not just as trustees but as part of the community. Come and say hello — they would love to meet you!
Behind every family day out and every CMT Kids and Big Kids weekend is a huge amount of work that most people never see.
Sam, Sophie and Vicky have put in so much time and energy behind the scenes to make sure this day is everything it should be, and we really could not do any of this without them.
We are so lucky to have them!
